Alexis & LJ, together FOREVER. They met almost a decade ago! When LJ was the drummer in a band, and Lexi was a big fan. The two dated while they went to separate colleges, moved in together in Connecticut, and now they make homemade pizza every Friday night, have a little fur baby named Rue, and spend their free time singing to their dozens of houseplants.
In the middle of planning, they uprooted their plans and changed their venue to The Connecticut River Valley Inn – Alexis & LJ were enamored by the willow trees, the charming history behind the inn, and that they could be one with nature and hold all their activities outdoors under the stars.
It was a family affair on this unseasonably warm fall day – Lexi’s brother officiated the ceremony, her mom made her beautiful naked cake from scratch, and they even hired one of their bridesmaids to shoot the wedding – ME! It was an intimate, tight-knit group, so everyone got to spend quality time with each other on this incredible day. Family played lawn games, made jumbo bubbles, cried during toasts, and to top off the night, all the guests paraded down Main Street in Glastonbury to their favorite local bar for celebratory drinks.
Congratulations, my sweet friends. It was an absolute honor and joy documenting your special day. Thank you for trusting me with your love. XO, Jules
Cheers to the amazing vendor team who helped make this day possible!!
