Kristin & Matt go way back to Frosh Week 2011 at Princeton, where they both attended college. They met and started texting, but Kristin had dropped her phone in a cup of beer the night before, so of course Matt thought she was standing him up. She messaged him on every other platform and made sure to set up their first date successfully!
They graduated, survived two years of long distance from Boston -> DC, and have now bought their first home together! Last summer, Matt surprised Kristin with a scavenger hunt full of their favorite crossword puzzle clues at Fresh Pond Park that ended with a proposal (ahhh!) then took her to his family’s house where everyone was waiting to surprise them, including Kristin’s parents all the way from Korea! After the proposal, they spent a month adventuring in Peru & Bolivia – they love hiking, running, and trekking across mountain ranges. They had their engagement sesh at the Public Garden and Esplanade (peep those cuties here!) and have been counting down to the big day. Kristin & Matt also LOVE running – they’ve run 26 races together as a couple! The morning of their wedding, they had a 4(ever)K race around the island with their guests. So fun!
On a beautiful sunny September day, Matt & Kristin finally pledged their love to each other on Thompson Island at an outdoor ceremony with the harbor and the Boston skyline glittering in the sunset. They had THE most impressive first dance (their moves were insane) – and to everyone’s surprise, Matt hopped on the band’s keyboard and sang All of Me by John Legend to her. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room! After that, he strapped on a harmonica and had guests sing Piano Man with him. Unreal! In the party spirit, Kristin and her bridesmaids slipped into some crisp white Converse for the dance floor. Major congrats, Kristin + Matt!! It was such a blast celebrating with the two of you!
