Kristin & Matt go way back to Frosh Week 2011 at Princeton, where they both attended college. They met and started texting, but Kristin had dropped her phone in a cup of beer the night before, so of course Matt thought she was standing him up. She messaged him on every other platform and made sure to set up their first date successfully!
They graduated, survived two years of long distance from Boston -> DC, and have now bought their first home together! Last summer, Matt surprised Kristin with a scavenger hunt full of their favorite crossword puzzle clues at Fresh Pond Park that ended with a proposal (ahhh!) then took her to his family’s house where everyone was waiting to surprise them, including Kristin’s parents all the way from Korea! After the proposal, they spent a month adventuring in Peru & Bolivia – they love hiking, running, and trekking across mountain ranges.
On a gorgeous summer night, Kristin, Matt, and their adorable maltipoo pup Ollie had a perfect engagement session. Starting in the Boston Public Garden, we made pit stops at the iconic blue bridge, the magical willow trees, and the pond overlooking the Boston skyline. As the sun set and the sky turned pink, we made our way to the esplanade to enjoy sunset on the Charles River. Their endless smiles and love for each other truly set my heart on fire. I can’t wait for these two to get married on Thompson Island next month!
