A few weeks ago, I zipped out of Boston and drove down to West Hartford, Connecticut to celebrate Jen and Kevin’s milestone with an engagement session at Renbrook! I absolutely LOVE when my work takes me on the road, and this time around was extra special, as the destination was my home town! Which meant I got to sneak in some quality family time after the session 🙂 What a treat!
It had rained all weekend long, but cleared up juuuuust in time for the session. Woohoo! Wet, muddy grounds and all, we had so much fun exploring Renbrook’s beautiful campus. It honestly felt more like Hogwarts, or Snow White’s cottage.
Aka – FAIRYTALE LAND. And just when I thought our session together couldn’t get any sweeter, their adorable little pup, Cooper showed up! How cute is he in that little blue bow tie?!
Now, who’s ready for an adorable proposal story!? Jen and Kevin have been together for nearly a decade and they have that kind of love that’s sweeter than my mom’s homemade ice cream cake – and trust me, thats pretty dang sweet! The dynamic duo had spent the weekend together in New York City and while Kevin planned on popping the big question during their trip, the chaotic atmosphere of NYC just didn’t seem quite right to him. He preferred a more intimate setting for the occasion – and once they were nestled back home in Connecticut, Kevin had the epic idea of surprising Jen with homemade breakfast. You know… just some coffee, eggs, bacon, pancakes, AND AN ENGAGEMENT RING! Nothing like waking up to your boo cooking for you and asking you if you’d like to spend the rest of your days together, am I right?! 🙂
Way to go, Kevin!
Thank you, Jen + Kevin (and Cooper!) for inviting me to capture your love story. I had so much fun exploring Renbrook with you, and can’t wait until your wedding next June in the Berkshires!
Lots of hugs + love,
Jules
Overwhelming idea, and nice photography.
