Holly had a crush on Chris through college, becoming friends and fellow crew captains. They stayed friends after graduation, visiting each other occasionally when they were in the same city (Holly lived in Philly, Chris in Boston). Three long years later, they were both single and ready for LOVE! Chris came to visit Holly, and they fell in love as fast as lightning. They championed through long distance while Chris was in law school, but they loved looking forward to each others visits and learned to appreciate every bit of their time together. They love to go rowing, hiking with their pup Winnie, drinking coffee and listening to old records, baking bread, and sharing beers.
Their wedding was on family property on Lemonade Lake in New Preston, Connecticut – and it was the 4th wedding in the family hosted there! The outdoor ceremony overlooked the lake, and they had a tented reception in the woods. Holly took DIY to a new level – she made the bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen’s bowties, hand died with pigments found in nature, like cranberries, red cabbage, blueberries, etc). She used hand died ribbons as reception decor, and with her invitations. And don’t forget, she also made the cupcakes and cake! AMAZING! Congratulations, Holly + Chris! Thank you for trusting me to capture your big day! 🙂
